Sadly, on October 9th 2023 we lost our dear friend, bassist Robert “Bert” McMillan. We’ve all known, loved and made joyful
music with him for over 20 years, and some of us for nearly 30 years. The loss is deep and painful.
We always planned to make a second album, and over the last 7 years had sporadically worked on it, but never quite finished it. To memorialize Bert’s kind spirit,
we’ve gone through the archives and selected some of Bert’s favorite Second String Band and Sports Alternative songs from
studio sessions, released CDs, and a live performance at a party, all featuring his magical bass and vocals and occasional guitar.
